The Summer Slow Down

So it’s the end of another successful (and busy!) school and college year for The Manchester Museum.  We have seen and done all sorts of new and exciting things, not least starting our blog!

Our last school visited today and now the Museum is firmly in Summer Holiday mode.  The picnic area on the 3rd floor is ready for an influx of visitors, there is a new poison dart frog display case and there is a whole host of exciting events for visitors to enjoy. If you come in over the summer, let us know how you found your visit, either comment below or fill in one of our comment cards when you are here.

There will be a slow down in posts to this blog over the holiday period, but do visit one of the other blogs that Museum staff write, and don’t forget to check up on The Manchester Hermit!

Before I sign off, I wanted to share some of the images from the recent Drawing across the Curriculum workshop that ran here in early July.  We welcomed over 25 practitioners, teachers and museum educators to The Manchester Museum and lots of fun was had by all.  Below are some of the images of their work, on and off the galleries.  And I haven’t forgetten that I promised to blog about the Museums Cat and I visited as part of our trip to Barcelona.
